The Seven Thunders
Spiritual Building-Stone No. 106

Revelation 10:1-11,- "And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow [was] upon his head, and his face [was] as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire: And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and [his] left [foot] on the earth, And cried with a loud voice, as [when] a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders ut-tered their voices. And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not. And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer: But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets..."

Let us hear what God's Word Prophet said. He exhorted us with the following words:

You take any of these false baptisms, false so-and-so-and-so's, I don't care how real it sounds, how much they try to impersonate, it's a lie if it's contrary to God's Word of this hour. That's exactly. You say, "Well, we did this, and we did this; and our church is this way, and..." I don't care what it is; if it's contrary to the written Word for his hour, it's a lie. God will have nothing to do with it. No matter how sincere, how educated, how smart, how true it sounds, how reasonable it sounds, if it's contrary to the Word of this hour...

Now, in order to study the Scripture... Paul told Timothy, "Study It, rightly dividing the Word of God which is Truth." Then there's three musts in the Scripture. In using God's Word there is three things that you must not do.
Now, you must not misinterpret the Word. You say, "Well, I believe It means this." It means just what it says. It needs no interpreter. And you must not misplace the Word. And you must not dislocate the Word. And if we would do either of these, it throws the whole Bible in a confusion and in a chaos.

Now listen:

But remember, Daniel was told by the Angel. Daniel heard seven thunders; they uttered their voices. Daniel grabbed his pen and started to write, and the Angel said, "Don't you write it." Amen. (Daniel 12:4,9).

Are you ready? Let's get into it just for about the next five minutes. Will you? Listen.

"Don't you write it." John saw the same thing, and it had already be written outside of the Bible; and had seven seals on the back of the Book, that no man could open those seals, that was them voices. Here's the Bible written, which is a mystery Itself. But on the backside of the Bible, the revelations was shown to Daniel, say that there's seven voices to be uttered that no man could open, no man knowed what it was. But the Bible said, and told Daniel and also John, "That in the last days these seven voices would be known by the real true Church." You get it? Can you see where the false and counterfeit is trying their best to keep great men from places like that?

Now this messenger of Malachi 4:5-6 and Revelation 10:7 is going to do two things. One: According to Malachi 4 he will turn the hearts of the children to the fathers. Two: He will reveal the mysteries of the seven thunders in Revelation 10 which are the revelations contained in the seven seals. It will be these Divinely revealed 'mystery-truths' that literally turn the hearts of the children to the Pentecostal fathers. Exactly so.

All right, here was "voices." Oh, how we need in Jeffersonville thousands of lived voices, the thunder of God thundering out in sweetness, and holiness, purity, undefiled lives, walking around in the earth today without a blemish. Yes, sir, real Christians, that's thunder against the enemy. The Devil don't care how loud you can holler; the Devil don't care how much you can jump, how much you can do this or shout. But what hurts the Devil is to see that sanctified, holy life consecrated to God; say anything to him, call him anything, just as sweet as it can be and move right on. Oh, my. That throws him away; that's the thunder that shakes the Devil.

And this sevenfold Book of seven redemption plans has been brought to us, and that's what this Book holds. Now, we're going to get over in the 10th chapter where this mighty Angel proclaims something, and He had a little Book that John had to eat. And when he did, he got it into his belly and it was bitter, but in his lips it was sweet (Rev. 10:8-11).

When you have digest It, then It gets bitter, everybody's against you, everybody telling "You're a holy-roller, you're this, that, or the other. See, you're off your head." So it's hard to digest It; but when you're testifying of His glory, It's sweet in your lips. That's all. See? And when you stand up in a meeting, you say, "Glory to God. Halle..." Oh, when you're going through that great siege, it's hard; but then when you're out of that great siege you can testify of it, then It's sweet in the lips. See? That's right. That's this Book of redemption.

The seven and last one of these seals, when they're opened, is found in Revelations the 10th chapter; there was a mighty Angel (which was Christ) came down and put one foot on the land and one on the sea, and raised up His hand, and says, "The day is finished. Time is run out. It's all over. Time shall be no more."

And He said at the sounding of the... At this time the mystery of God should be finished: Who God is, and how He was made manifest; how when that seal was opened, how we begin to understand now how that He was the Son of God; He was God Himself made flesh; and the revelation of Who He is; that should be finished before this Angel can put His feet upon the land and sea and swear that there'll be time no more when this time comes. We're right in that front yard of it right now.

The last one of them is Revelations 10, foot on land and on sea; time had run out; redemption is over; now He comes in as the Lion. He was a Lamb then; now He comes in as Lion of the tribe of Judah.

Could it be that? The mighty thunder, or the seventh angel in the seven constellation, seventh period constellation, the pyramid made in a form, three on a side, and one on top, and they dropped from eternity. Could it be? Is this the mystery of the thunders that will bring back the Headstone?
And you know, the pyramid never was capped. The Headstone's yet to come. It's been rejected. Could it be, brethren, sisters.

What we've seen happen should put every soul in action. It should make a church that would make a revival here in Phoenix, that people would be flying in from Europe to see what taken place. They'd say, "There's a place in Arizona called the Maricopa Valley, a city called Phoenix. There's something broke out there until the seven thunders of Revelations 10, that's not even wrote in the Bible, is being manifested."

We're in teaching, and you can realize what a great strain it is on me, be-cause if I teach anything wrong, I'm going to have to answer for it. See? And so I must not take what anyone says; it must be inspired. And I believe that the Seven Angels who's holds these seven thunders will grant it.

This seven-sealed Book is revealed at the time of the Seven Thunders of Revelations 10. Now, the mystery of this seven-sealed Book will be re-vealed at the sounding of the seventh church angel's message. See? The sev-enth angel begins to sound, and there's the messages wrote out there, and we got it in tape and book form.

Now, but it is a Book, a mysterious Book. It's a Book of Redemption. And now, we know that this Book of Redemption will not be thoroughly understood: it's probed at through six church ages, but at the end, when the seventh angel begins to sound his mystery, he winds up all of the loose ends that these fellows probed at, and the mysteries comes down from God as the Word of God and reveals the entire revelation of God. Then the Godhead and everything else is settled. All the mysteries: serpent's seed and whatevermore is to be revealed.

Now, you see, I'm just not making that up. It's THUS SAITH THE LORD. I'll read it to you out of the Book: the sounding of the seventh angel's message, the mystery of God should be finished that's been declared by His holy prophets. That's the prophets who has wrote the Word. At the sounding of the seventh church age, the last church age, all the loose ends that through these church ages have been probed at, will be wound up together. And when the Seals are broke and the mystery is revealed, down comes the Angel, the Messenger, Christ, setting His foot upon the land and upon the sea with a rainbow over His head. Now remember, this seventh angel is on earth at the time of this coming.

And at the end of the Pentecostal age we are supposed to receive, according to the Word, as God help me tonight to show you through here, that we receive a messenger that will take all those loose ends out there and reveal the whole secret of God for the rapturing of the Church.

And then there's coming forth seven mysterious thunders that's not even written at all. That's right. And I believe that through those seven thunders will be revealed in the last days in order to get the Bride together for rapturing faith; because what we got right now, we wouldn't be able to do it. There's something we've got to step forward; we can't have enough faith for Divine healing hardly. We've got to have enough faith to be changed in a moment and be swept up out of this earth, and we'll find that after while, the Lord willing, find where it's written.

So John goes to look, see what it was. John goes to see what the thunder said. It's then that this creature told John come and see what the mystery is under the First Seal. The thunder, the voice of the Creator has uttered it. Now, He ought to know what's there. Amen. Oh, my.

But think, now he wrote this, but when he started to write those other seven thunders, he said, "Don't write it." He'd been commissioned to write everything he seen. But when these seven thunders over in Revelations 10 uttered, he said, "Don't write them at all." They're mysteries. We don't know what they are yet; but my opinion they'll be revealed right away. And when it do, it'll give faith for that rapturing grace for that Church to move out. We just move through everything that we know of; through all the dispensations we've watched everything. We've seen the mysteries of God. We've seen the appearing of the great gathering together of the Bride in the last days, but yet there's something in there that we just can't lighten ourself with. There's something another. But I imagine when them mysteries begins to come forth... God said, "Hold it back now. Wait a minute. I'll reveal it in that day. Don't write it at all, John, 'cause they'll stagger over it. Just let it go. But I'll reveal it in that day when it has need to be done."

Seven thunders of revelation... May He show the Bride how to prepare for the great translation faith. Now, let us find the symbols. We found out what the thunder means. That's perfectly; we know that. See? The thunder was the Voice of God when the Seal opened.

We want to receive rapturing grace. We want to be able, when that mysterious Thunder thunders out yonder, and the Church is taken up, we want to be ready to receive It. Lord, grant it.

The Bride hasn't had a revival yet. There's been no revival there, no mani-festation of God to stir the Bride yet. See? We're looking for it. It will take those seven unknown thunders back there to wake her up again. He will send it. He promised it. Now, now, watch. Now, she was dead.

Now, the 8th chapter only reveals the scene of the Seventh Seal where nothing else is revealed. Now, nothing is not revealed in the Seventh Seal. Now, has nothing to do with the 7th chapter of Revelation. It's the revealing of the Seventh Seal is perfectly mute. And if I only had time (I'll try a few places.) to show you all the way back from Genesis this 7th chapter--this Seventh Seal is spoke of. From the very beginning in Genesis, this seventh--these Seals moved right up.

That perfect number, seven thunders in a row, uttered not making it just one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, straight. Then heavens couldn't write that. Heavens can't know about it, nothing else, because there's nothing to go on. It's a relaxing time. It was so great till it's kept secret from the Angels.

Now, now, do you notice on the opening of this Seventh Seal, it's also in a threefold mystery. This one I have--will speak and have spoke, that it is the mystery of the seven thunders. The seven thunders in heaven will unfold this mystery. It'll be right at the coming of Christ, because Christ said no one knew when He would return.

Did you notice when the Jews asked Him that? You know when we compared the Scripture here with Matthew 24 with the six Seals, the Seventh Seal was left out; because, Christ said only God Himself knowed, not even the An-gels. No wonder, it wasn't even written. You see, they hushed; nothing take place then. Angels don't know it; nobody knows when He's coming. But there'll be a... There'll be seven voices of these thunders that will reveal the great revelation at that time.

So I believe, to us who... If we don't know it, and we--it won't be knowed till that time, but it will be revealed in that day, in the hour that it's supposed to be revealed in. So the thing for us to do is to be reverent before God and serve Him, and do all that we know how to do, and live good Christian lives.

Here now, we find that the Sixth Seal has been opened to us; we see it, and we know that this Seventh Seal cannot be broke to the public until that hour arrives.

Now, there was some reason that God let this seven voices be thundered, because it must come, for the... We find that Christ, the Lamb took the Book in His hand, and He opened that Seventh Seal. But you see, it's a hidden mys-tery. No one knows it. But it's right along with what He said: no one would know His coming; they also would not know about this seven thunder mys-tery. So you see, it's connected together.

That much we have a understanding of it today, because the rest of it is all unfolded, but this is not unfolded. But setting in my room, and I heard this--or not heard it, rather, but seen it unfold to this seven thunders. Now, that's as far as we can go right there. And now I trust that each and every one of you will serve God, and do that which is right, and love Him all your life and serve Him, and God will take care of the rest.

Now, we have in the completion here now, by the grace of God, all the mysteries of the six Seals that's been sealed up, and we understand and know here that the Seventh Seal is not to be known to the public.
Now, His coming, and the hour of His coming, when the destruction of the earth... You know, he said there, "What will be the sign of the coming of the end of the world?" In Matthew 24, there where they asked Him that question, He went down to that. He told about Israel being gathered as a nation in the 31st verse of Matthew 24:31. But then He started off on parables. See? Then, you see there, "Learn a parable of the fig tree. When you see it putting forth its buds, why, you know spring's nigh." And then, "When you see this coming to pass, then know the time is nigh."

See Israel's gathering in its own homeland. But you notice, He omitted the revelation of this Seventh Seal. And here when the Seventh Seal, when He opened it, He also omitted it again. See? So we see that it is a complete mystery, therefore, the hour is not yet for this mystery to be known, therefore, we're this far and the rest of it will be known right around about the time that Jesus appears on earth again for His Bride, or whatever takes place at that time.

Now, until that time, let's just all pray and live good straight Christian lives, looking forward for His coming.

And now, if this tape would happen to fall into the hands of some persons somewhere, don't try to make any kind of an "ism" out of it. The only thing you do, you just continue serving God, because this great secret is so great that God wouldn't even let John write it. It thundered out, but He promising us that it would be opened, but to this time, it isn't opened.

Now, God had a purpose and a hidden mystery. And that's what I want to speak on to the church this morning: the hidden mystery of God that He had in His mind before the world ever began and how that it's unfolded itself right down to this present hour that we're living. Then you will understand clearly then on, I believe, what is being done.

God's great mystery of how... It's a secret. He kept it a secret. Nobody knowed nothing about it; even the Angels didn't understand it. See? He didn't reveal it. That's the reason under our seventh mystery, when the seventh seal was opened, there was silence.

Jesus, when He was on earth, they wanted to know when He would come. He said, "It's not... Even the Son Himself don't know when it's going to happen." See, God has this all to Himself. It's a secret. And that's the reason there was silence in heaven for a space of a half hour. And Seven Thunders ut-tered their voices, and John was even forbidden to write it--the coming of the Lord.

That's one thing He hasn't revealed yet, of how He will come, and when He will come. It's a good thing that He doesn't. No. He has showed or revealed it in every type that's in the Bible.

Therefore, the entire Bible is the revelation of God's mystery in Christ. Huh? The entire Bible is an expression of one goal that God had, one purpose He wanted to achieve in the entire Bible, and all the acts of the believers in the Bible has been in type and expressing what God's great goal is. And now in this last day He has revealed it and shows it. And God's help, we'll see it right here this morning: what the Lord has had in His mind all along and has expressed it. Therefore, you can see the great meaning of what it's been to know this and then try to bring it to the people. See? And then you don't... I haven't went into details and tried to explain it as God has revealed it to me.

Now, the coming of the Lord is in mystery. We don't know when He's coming, how He's coming, but we know He's coming, See? And so was all the mysteries of God waiting for this last day. After it's already been completed then He reveals, He shows what He's done. Oh, my. Never gave His mystery in full...

It's just like this, comparing the Seven Seals. Now, when God used Martin Luther for the coming out, for that first church (that church age), and when He used John Wesley, and He gradually brought them out and was revealing in them that church age. When we--anyone goes back through the Bible now and find out... But in the last days...

The reason that was such a tremendous thing, that He spoke of it here and showed those Seven Thunders and "Look" and "Life" my "Life" magazine there, packed that circle of cloud and light there that they could not understand and don't know it yet, but here telling, "Go there and wait for these mysteries to be revealed" and here months before it happened; and then it happened, and exactly the way He said it would do.

Did you notice in that picture even that Angel on the right when He was being materialized, coming down, with His wings back and His head setting sideways? There it is right there in the picture just exactly: months before it happened, told here that He's going to bring the Body of believers together to reveal, take up them lost ends.

Everyone, they was always come to me, said, "Brother Branham, them seven thunders that the voice thundered, and he said 'Write it not, but close it up,'" said, "that'll be seven thunders that will be revealed in the last days? See, seven thunders that'll tell us?" Now, don't that sound real good? See? But watch what you're talking about when you say that. He said, "See that you write it not." These seven thunders uttered their voices, and He said, "Don't write that, but It's to be sealed up in the Book until the last days."

Now, someone has been, many has been saying to me, and theologians said, "Brother Branham, if the Lord God..." Said, "If with your experience that the Lord has given you for His people," humbly saying this, said, "you'd be eligible to write a Bible yourself, your Word that God has manifested."
I said, "That might be true." See, he was trying to catch me. See? And I said, "But, you see, I couldn't do that."

He said, "Why couldn't? You have all the qualifications."
I said, "But, you look, one word cannot be added or taken away." See?
And he said, "Well then, them seven thunders (You see?)," said, "wouldn't them seven thunders blasting out, won't that be a revelation be give to some man?"

I said, "No, sir, it would be adding something to It or taking something from It." It's all revealed in there, and the seven seals opened up the revelation of what that was. See?

He's still in the Word. You see, you can't get out of that Word. It won't leave the Word. And God's Spirit will never leave that Word. It'll stay right with the Word, blinding some and open the eyes of others. It'll always do that.

"Ye are written epistles, read of all men," or, "You are our..." Translate that, turn it around this way, just turn It around, "You are epistles that has been written," 'cause you can't add nothing to It, "that's read of all men." "Manifested Word of God," in other words.

And Peter and John, to show it, when they went up there, they perceived they were ignorant and unlearned; they had no education, but they taken notice they'd been with Jesus. See? They were ignorant and unlearned, but they were written epistles, read that they had been with Jesus, 'cause Jesus was manifesting Himself through them, Christ veiled in their flesh, manifested, made alive, like He was in Moses.

Look. I want to say one more thing. Closely now, don't miss this. How striking. From the seventh angel's (messenger of the Seventh Seal) Message (and Revelations 10 was the Seventh Seal) to the Seven Trumpets, between those two times...

Now, as soon as this Church, the Bride is drawed together, she's taken up; in that mystery of the Seventh Seal, or the Seventh Seal, the mystery going. And the Jews is called by the mystery of the Seventh Trumpet, which is two prophets, Elijah and Moses.

Have the seven thunders which equals seven mysteries already been revealed? Were they revealed in the seven Seals, but are yet not known to us as the thunders yet?

No, they were revealed in the seven Seals; that's what the thunders was about. They was to reveal... The seven thunders that had uttered their voices and no one could make out what it was... John knew what it was, but he was forbidden to write it. He said, "But the seventh angel, in the days of his sounding, the seven mysteries of the seven thunders would be re-vealed." And the seventh angel is a messenger of the seventh church age.

It was in the end-time period that the seven thunders of Jesus came forth. Revelation 10:3-4, "And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices. And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not." What was in those thunders no one knows. But we need to know. And it will take a prophet to get the revelation because God has no other way of bringing out His Scriptural revelations except by a prophet. The Word always came by a prophet and always will.

So we see a seventh age messenger coming, and he is a prophet.

Not only do we see this messenger coming here in Revelation 10:7, but we find that the Word speaks of Elijah coming before Jesus returns.

Notice, God told the prophet, said, "Eat the scroll," in the Old Testament (Ezek. 3:1-3). The prophet of the New Testament, He said, "Eat the little book." Why? That the prophet and the Word would be one. See? That's the Ark, the Word of God.

There's coming one with a Message that's straight on the Bible, and quick work will circle the earth. The seeds will go in newspapers, reading material, until every predestinated Seed of God has heard It.
