Looking
For The Fulfillment Of The Promises Of God For Our Day
Spiritual Building-Stone No. 151
It depends on what you are looking at. What do you see when you do look? Remember,
you can only see Him as you look at Him through the Word. You can’t
look at Him through a textbook. You can’t look at Him through a creed.
You will see two or three gods, and everything else in those creeds. But look
at Him through the Word, and you will see that He is Emmanuel – God
made flesh among us. He said, “I am God and besides Me, there is none
other.” He is God. [1]
Jesus said in
a certain place, that the Word is a Seed (Luke 8:11). And every seed will
bring forth of its kind (Gen. 1:12). And now, if the Christian, the children
of God, the children of the Kingdom has become the Seed of God, then they
must be the Word of God, the Word of God manifested in the age that they're
living in, for the promised Seed of that age (Matt. 13:37-39). God gave His
Word at the beginning, and each age has had its Seed, its time, its promises.
Now, when Noah came on the scene, and he was the Seed of God, the Word of
God for that age (Gen. 6:9).
When Moses came, he could not come with Noah's message; it wouldn't work,
because he was the Seed of God at that time (Exod. 3:1).
Then when Christ come, He could not come with Noah or Moses' age; it was His
time, for a virgin to conceive and to bring forth a Son, and He would be the
Messiah (Isaiah 7:14; Isaiah 11:1-5). Now, we've lived through Luther's age,
Wesley's age (Methodist's age), all down through the ages, and the Pentecostal
age, and each age has given a promise of the Word. And the people of that
age that manifest that promised Word is the Seed of that age, according to
what Jesus said right here, "They are the children of the Kingdom."
That's right. The manifestation of the Holy Spirit operating through His children
is those Seed of the Kingdom at that age. [2]
Now, all we are
today is the display of His attributes. First He was not even God, God, we'd
just call Him the eternal One. He wasn't God, because the word, English word,
"God" means "object of worship" and there was nothing
to worship Him. So He was the eternal One, the main Fountain of all intelligence.
And in this Fountain of all intelligence there was not an atom, molecule,
or nothing, light nowhere, star, moon, nothing else. God, what we know as
God, the great Spirit that was eternal, never did begin, never did end, He
was there. And in Him was attributes: it was attributes to be God, then His
attributes to be a Father, attributes to be a Son, attributes to be a Saviour,
attributes to be a Healer. All these attributes was in Him. And now, these
things that have unfolded since then are just His attributes being made manifest.
What I mean, "attributes" was His thoughts. And a word is a thought
expressed. And then that was in His thinking. And when He said, "Let
there be," and there was..."Let there be," and there was (Gen.
1:3). And now, remember, you Christians were His thoughts before there was
a world. And you are the manifestation of His thinking. Before there even
was a world, you were in Christ, in God in the beginning (Eph. 1:3-6; II Tim.
1:9-10). That makes you, then His subjects. And the whole thing is God Himself,
materializing Himself tangible so He could be handled, seen, and so forth.
And that's what God is, the whole thing.
God is His Own Interpreter. He doesn’t need anybody to interpret for Him. He does His Own interpreting. Who is the man that can interpret God? God is His Own Interpreter.
We find out that in the beginning when God said, "Let there be light," and there was light, that's the interpretation to it. When God said anything and it was manifested, then that's God's interpretation that His Word's right. See? When He said, "Let there be light," that was in His thinking first before there was such a thing as light. When He said, "Let there be light," light sprung into the skies; that's the interpretation (Gen. 1:3-5). Nobody has to interpret that, for God said so and there it was. When God speaks and it's manifested, that's the interpretation of His Word. Why can't men see that? Why don't people see that?
When God makes a promise and God says... In the beginning in Genesis He 'lotted His Word to each age as It come down from the be¬ginning to the end. And down through these ages the church world has got all these things all mixed up by traditions and so forth, and God always sends on the scene, down through the Old Testament and New, prophets. And the Word of the Lord comes to the prophet (Amos 3:7; Matt. 23:37). And how does It do it? It manifests the Word of God. God's manifestation, that tells whether it's right or wrong. Nobody has to interpret It; the Word interprets Itself. God promised it and there it happened.
What good does
it do to say anything else about It? Who is the sinful man that would try
to say (when God made a promise and God does it) that that interpretation
is wrong? That’s God Himself doing His Own inter¬pretation, interpreting.
He don’t need anybody to interpret Him, He interprets Himself by manifesting
what He promised that He would do.
Oh, if the church could only see that and see the promises that’s lotted
for each age! All other ages, God has sent on the scene (even down through
the seven church ages) and has manifested everything that He promised to do.
Everything there’s not one thing left undone. Exactly! What He said
He would do, that He did. [3]
The god of this
world today, the worshipped person of this world today is Satan, and the people
are ignorant of worshipping Satan (II Thess. 2:3-4). But it's Satan impersonating
himself as the church, as the church. They worship Satan thinking that they
are worshipping God through the church, but it's the way Satan has done it
(Mark 7:7-13).
Oh, you say, "But wait a minute; we preach the Word." Look back
here at my text. Satan was the one preached the Word to Eve first. "God
has said." (Gen. 3:1-5). It's that misconstruing that part of the Scripture
that applies to the day. He will let you know all that Jesus did was perfectly
well. He will let you know all that Moses did was per¬fect¬ly well.
But when you take the promises that they gave for this day; then that was
applied to another age. That's just all he has to do is to get the people
to believe it that way, and that's all. For you cannot take one word away
from It, or add one word to It, but that's what he does.
That deceitfulness of the church of today... See, the son of perdition, the
devil, the son of perdition, the devil... Then people worshipping Satan in
this day, thinking they're worshipping God... But they're worshipping Satan
through a creed, a manmade denominations and creeds that's brought the people
right down to the greatest deception that the world has ever knowed of. No
matter how much the Word of God promised for this day, is preached and vindicated,
they still won't believe It. They won't believe It.
Then why? We
wonder why. Why doesn't it... Why won't they believe It, when God said He
would do a certain thing, and He does it; and still they turn their back from
it, and turn away from it? Just as Eve knew that what God said, God would
do; but she turned her back on it to listen to what he had to say. Just remember,
in other ages, it's always been the same thing. In every age it's always been
that Satan tries to pervert that Word to them, making them see some other
age.
Now, he began by a religious deceit in Eden and has continued ever since,
not by setting up a bunch of Communists. It's been a religious deceit since
the very beginning of Eden, and has been ever since.
In Adam's time it was a deceit. In Noah's time, it was a deceit. In Jesus'
time was the same, and now is the same, the same way, a religious deceitfulness.
[4]
It's turn
to the Word, see what the Word promises for today, see what the Light of the
day's supposed to be. Oh, church, turn to the Word; get back to the Word;
flip the right switch; quit punching around on electric lights, artificial,
manmade. Turn to His Word and see the promise of today. And then see what
the promise is, and watch for its identification. When it's vindicated, then
you know whether you're in Light or not. See what the promise is.
To me, I want to see what's promised for the day. I want to know what the
Light of the hour is, so I can know how to walk in it. I want to know where
I'm living, what age I'm in, how far up the road am I?
As Paul said, I could stand quoting again, "Forgetting those things that
are in the past, now I press towards the mark, the high calling," to
the complete identification, when all time will fade out into eternity when
Jesus comes [5] (Phil. 3:13-14).
If we know the Word of God, we know where we are living. We know the hour that we’re living in. We know what lays ahead. We see what we’ve passed. And the Book of God is the revelation of Jesus Christ. His works through the ages that was up to the Book of Revelation and then His promises that is to come… So all of His promises are true. God cannot speak any word without it being confirmed. Every word that He says has to come to pass. [6]

There´s coming one with a Message that´s straight
on the Bible, and quick work will circle the earth. The seeds will go in newspapers,
reading material, until every predestinated Seed of God has heard It. [ Bro.
Branham in „Conduct-Order-Doctrine“, page 724]
