Anchored In Christ, the Word
Spiritual Building-Stone No. 155

Hebrews 6:18-20, “… who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.”

A fine minister said awhile ago, said, "Brother Branham, if I could just have the joy of the Lord in my heart..."

I said, "Son, the revival's over." See? Now, the stabilizers is been put on the ship. Great fearful waves are out here before us, but we know just beyond that wave yonder we're nearing the shore. See? We're nearing the shore. Just stay stable. Just stay in the Word; stay with God. No matter how you feel, what anything else, stay right with the Word. Let it stay stable. When you see all these great big old clouds around us, and storms a-coming, and atomic bombs, and everything else they're talking about; but our stabilizer is right straight in the Word. God said it would be here; we'll crest every one of them. Yeah. We'll go right over the top of them. Yes, indeed. They can't sink us; they can't drown us. You put us in the grave; we'll come out again. That's just all there is to it. There ain't no way in the world to keep it down there. We'll crest every one of them, 'cause our great Chief Captain is calling at the other side.

Whatever it might be, let it come, what may, what it will, doesn't make any difference; we're anchored right there in Jesus. If I live, I'll live to the glory of God. If I die, I'll die to the glory of God. Just to the glory of God is what I want to do. When that's all over, I don't want to stay any longer. I want to go to my reward that He bought for me, not what I earned, but what He bought for me, what He give to me by His grace (Rev. 22:12). [1]

And a borned again Christian is tied to Christ, and the Bible is the Anchor (I Peter 1:23). It's the thing we're tied to. Let the organizations, let the different thing, let the science, let the educators say anything they want. As long as that Word says it and promise it, we're tied to That. There's something won't let us move from it. That's right. A real born Christian, they stay with that Word. If It says a certain thing to do, and a way to do it, that's the way we must do it. No matter what anybody else says, that's what God said. We are tied to That, a Christ-centered life.

It's the anchor to the ship. The ship is tied to the anchor in the time of a storm. And if Christ is your Absolute, you are tied to Him. In time of trouble, the ship, if you let it rock, it'll break against the rocks. But what they do, they drop the anchor. The anchor drags until it snags into the rock foundation. And the ship is tied to the anchor. It's the absolute for the ship. [2]

Now, when the sick people that's in the building, the crippled people, or you that have a need of God, when you can get that type of a revelation that you are justified (I Cor. 6:11), when you are actually justified in asking the thing that you're asking for, and believe that He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek after Him (Heb. 11:6), there's nothing can ever separate you from that faith that's anchored to you (Rom. 8:38-39). See? But first it has to be revealed to you. [3]

And Abraham left the land, sojourned, called himself a stranger and a pilgrim (Heb. 11:8-10). And look, Abraham as all mortals, not an immortal man, not a man that can’t make a mistake, but constantly made mistakes (Gen. 12:10-20; 20:1-18). But no matter how many mistakes he made, his anchor still held, for he had the promise. [4]

But I tell you, a real man or woman that's borned of the Spirit of God will sit hour after hour drinking in the Word of God. Not only that, but when it hits there, it anchors, and changes the life. [5]

You'll go away a different person. You'll go away with such an anchor inside in your soul, that nothing can upset you. You know that you're healed. You know that God has taken care of this matter for you, because He has promised. [6]

God anchors a little something in your heart and says, "This is It." Believe It. Hold onto It. That's God's Word. He's promised He'd confirm It to you. And if He confirms the Word, hold onto It. [7]

I'm holding on to that anchor yonder in the Rock. The storms are tossing me up and down and around, but my anchor holds. It's in Christ and in His Word. I believe Your Word is the Truth. [8]

“Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast...” (Hebrews 6:19).

Not weaved about with every doctrine and every wind, tossed about from one side to another, taking sides over here, and taking sides over here, don't know where you stand. The Bible said, "I would that you'd be established." Not saying, "Well, I'm this today and something else tomorrow." Anchor your soul in Christ Jesus. Be borned again, the Life of God living in you, and you know beyond a shadow of doubt, that you've passed from death to Life (John 5:24). Your whole hopes is built yonder in Calvary. The love of God pours through your heart. And you believe every Word that God says is the true. You're willing to die for any phase of It. See what I mean? Steadfast and sure. [9]

If you want to anchor yourself, anchor that Word in your heart. David said he hid it in his heart that he would sin not (Psalm 119:11). He wrote His laws upon the bedpost, and tied them to his hands and everywhere, put His Word always before him (Psalm 16:8; Deut. 6:4-9). That's the way. Keep your mind constantly... [10]

Let the storms rage; my anchor holds within the veil. Can't tell you why we have a lot of storms on the seas in this day, but I'm thankful for an anchor that holds steadfast within the veil. When she's a rocking and it looks like every move would send her to the bottom, yet my anchor's in the veil. I've anchored in the veil. [11]

Like the little boy flying the kite. Said, "Where's it at?"
He said, "I don't know, but it's out there somewhere; I can feel it on the end of the line." That's it.

A man or a woman that takes God's Word, you got ahold of something. Your anchor holds within the veil. The storms and gales may press and shake in every way, but you're anchored. She's coming right on up to the place. You're persevering. You're going to believe it.

Noah believed it, sure, and he achieved God's purpose for his life. Do you want to achieve God's purpose in your life? Then be perseverant when you get the Word. Hold onto It, the promise; it's yours. [12]

Don't cut your anchor from Calvary. Hold on to God's Word, for "Upon this rock I'll build My Church," stay with It (Matt. 16:13-18). [13]

And if you're anchored in the Word, and the Word is anchored in you, you're eternal with the Word. Amen.

It's got to come to its end. All those things are shaking. No matter how big they're building a pillar, it's got to fall down. All things that's not of, or against that Word, or contrary to it, will have to move. It'll have to give place, because the Word's coming triumphantly. There's nothing can stop it. God's done said so.

When He speaks it, heavens and earth will pass away, but it'll never fail (Matt. 24:35). Hide that Word in your heart. How to take that Word and let It grow... Keep It in your mind always (II Tim. 2:8), because It will never fail. God's Word will never fail, because He said It wouldn't. So we want to keep it on that. [10]

Oh, my brother, sister; now, everyone of you conscious I know what that means. See? Just watch. Stay close to Christ. Let me warn you now, as a minister of the Gospel that this... Don't take any foolishness. Don't imagine anything. Stay right there until this inside of the inside is anchored to the Word, that you're right in Christ; 'cause that's the only thing that's going to... 'Cause we're in the most deceiving age that we ever lived in. It would deceive the very elected if it was possible (Matt. 24:24), because they have anointing. They can do anything like the rest of them.

Clean your lives up; pay your debts; owe no man. Jesus said, "Now... Now, I don't mean things like your house rent and stuff. You got to do it. Get all your things off your hands. Get everything right. Make ready. Get ready. Remember in the Name of the Lord, something's fixing to happen. [14]

I've been more determined to do everything that I can to persuade men and women--please be sure of this! If God's love doesn't anchor in your heart supremely, don't you take any sensation or emotion. You be sure that you can turn the other cheek, that Christ is all in all to you. Don't you miss it, my brother. [15]

There´s coming one with a Message that´s straight on the Bible, and quick work will circle the earth. The seeds will go in newspapers, reading material, until every predestinated Seed of God has heard It. [ Bro. Branham in „Conduct-Order-Doctrine“, page 724]
