Under The Blood
Spiritual Building-Stone No. 168
Eph. 1:7, “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace…”
Listen what God’s Prophet said about it:
The only thing
you have to do is accept what He done for you. That's all. And you're under
the Blood, every one of you, or God would destroy the whole thing. You're
still under the Blood as long as there's a Bloody Sacrifice laying there for
our sins. And then one day when you leave this world without accepting that
sacrifice, then you stand for your own sins (I John 2:2). And you're condemned
already, so you can't stand. (John 3:16-18).
God makes such a beautiful way. See, faith cometh by hearing (Rom. 10:17).
Preach Divine healing. Believe it; accept it.
Now, anybody knows that human beings can’t do these things. It’s
impossible. See? And it’s got to be the Spirit of God. The only thing
we can do is pray for the sick. I can't heal anyone, because you're already
healed. If anybody tells you that they can heal you, that's wrong. See? If
anybody tells you they can save you, that's wrong. You're all saved anyhow.
See? The only thing you have to do is just accept it. You accept what Jesus
did for you. He was wounded for your transgressions. With His stripes you
were healed (Isaiah 53:4-5). You were healed; it's already past tense (IPeter
2:24). [1]
Notice, these type, (the foolish virgin) the reason they die out, they go through the purging of trial of the tribulation; because they're not actually under the Blood. They claim they are, but they're not. How can they go through a trial to purify them when the bleach Blood of Jesus Christ takes every symptom of sin and stuff away from you (I John 1:9). And you're already dead, and your life is hid in Him through God and sealed in there by the Holy Ghost (Col. 3:1-3); what are you going to be judged for? Where you going to get your purification? What do you have to be purified from when you're perfectly in Christ, sinless? (Hebr. 10:14). What's the judgment for? But it's this sleeping bunch that them people can't make out. [2]
Israel, in the Old Testament, the only place that God ever met Israel was under the shed blood. They come from all over the nations, where the lamb was killed, but God only met under the shed blood. Under the blood of the Lamb is God's meeting place. That's where He meets His people. That's where He meets His church. That's where He meets your needs, is under the Blood. And outside of the Blood, there's no remission or no hearing, only through the Blood. (Exodus 24:1-8; Hebr. 9:15-22) [3]
Why did they
say all men should worship at Jerusalem? For there's only one place that God
will fellowship with man; that is under the blood of the sacrifice. (Deut.
16:1-8). That's the reason they had to come to Jerusalem. God will never meet
with man nowhere else, but under the Blood. When you turn the Blood down,
then your meeting place with God has been taken away. God made His first decision
in the garden of Eden, that man would only worship Him under the shed blood
of the sacrifice (Gen. 3:21). And that's the only place that God met with
men then; and that's the only place that God ever did meet with men; and that's
the only place He meets with men today, is under the shed Blood of the Sacrifice
(Heb. 10:10-14). [4]
Now, Israel, when they come into fellowship with God, there was only one place
of fellowship with God, and that was in the tabernacle. In the tabernacle
is where the bleeding sacrifice was going, all the time. God never promised
to meet with the people anywhere else but under the shed blood. Think of it.
I'm going to let that soak a minute now.
Look. God has never promised to meet any man upon his merits, upon how good
he is, or how good she is. He's never promised to meet them there. There's
no fellowship with God upon your own merit. The only place there is fellowship
is under the shed blood. From Genesis to Revelations, it's only through the
blood, innocent substitute to cover the guilty, penitent sinner: only the
blood.
Now, notice, quickly. Israel went to the building; they shed the blood. And
in this building was the only place that God would meet and fellowship with
the believer. In the building that's where the shed blood was. The lamb died
at the altar, daily. The blood went on, and the black smoke hung over the
tabernacle. And God could not see the sin, so the people went beneath the
blood and had fellowship (IIChron. 6-7). [5]
I don't care if you're a Methodist, Baptist, Presbyterian, if you can forget your differences (Roman Catholic, whatever you might be) and will come under the shed Blood, God will meet with both of us there. That's where we can all meet and fellowship on the same grounds. But otherwise, He will not meet just because you're a Methodist. He'll not meet just because you're Pentecostals. He'll meet with you under one condition; that's under the shed Blood, when your sins has been confessed (IJohn 1:9) and expelled in His Presence. Then by the Blood... And the Blood is always before Him; and therefore, He only can see you through that shed Blood. And you're white as snow when you've confessed your sins; (Isaiah 1:18) otherwise, you're not there. You cannot fellowship. [4]
We come to the
spot to where we realize that we have separated. We are separated from God.
And we come upon the basis of the shed Blood of Jesus Christ. Under that Blood,
there's where the Methodist, Baptist, Lutheran, Presbyterian, Pentecostals,
can all meet on common grounds, regardless of tradition or ritual. They can
meet there under one common thing, and that's upon the Blood of Jesus Christ.
Until the church gets back to a place, and away from its rituals and back
to God's original plan, that men are born into the Kingdom of God and not
joined into the church... Then is the time that fellowship will reign everywhere,
and the Spirit of the Lord will cover the earth like the waters covers the
sea, when it comes to a place that men can forget their differences and come
together in fellowship under the Blood.
We cannot all come under the Baptist tradition, or the Presbyterian tradition,
under the Methodist tradition, under the Pentecostal tradition. But we all
can meet and fellowship under the Blood of Jesus Christ, because it's God's
original plan. That's right. Amen. There's the pardoning. [6]
But there's one place where we have things in common: under the Blood of Jesus
Christ. That's where we have things in common. That's God's way for us to
meet, anyhow. And there's no other place that God promised to meet men: only
under the shed Blood. [7]
That's the reason
that you don't see things happening in the churches; they confess that they
believe the Blood, but they reject the very plan to get to the Blood, the
Word. See? There's only one way God will honor that Word. You'll never honor
that Word, come and say, "I'm a Roman Catholic; I demand this to be done."
You can't do it. Methodist, Baptist, or Pentecostals, you can't do it. The
only way you can do it is under the mercies of God through His grace, is to
come through the shed Blood of Jesus Christ; say, "Lord, I claim the
promise." See? And then if you really are under that Blood, God's obligated
to that Word. But first, you've got to be under that Blood. You see it now?
[4]
And the only way you can be a Christian is being borned again of the Spirit
of God (I Peter 1:22-23). And that's the only remedy: under the blood of the
Lord Jesus. And when you confess your sins to God, and you do have pardon
from God, then you are not a sinner. He that's born of God does not commit
sin (I John 3:9). If he does it, it's unwillfully. The worshipper once purged
has no more conscience of sin (Heb. 10:1-3). For instance, in the Old Testament
the blood of bulls and goats just covered sin; it didn't take it away. But
the Blood of Jesus takes it away. It divorces it. There's no more to it (Heb.
9:6-14; 10:11-13). [8]
And we've tried education; we've tried dictatorship; we've tried psychology; we've tried denominationalism; we've tried everything to push everybody together, or love everybody together, and everything else. There's no other place of fellowship but under the Blood yet, the only ground that God meets man. [9]
And now, Satan,
I charge you by the Blood of Jesus Christ, that all-sufficient Blood, that
through that Life that was in that Blood, that's now in our hearts, we've
been changed from what we once was to Christians. We once was doubters, now
we're believers. Our sins are under the Blood. "He that will confess
his sins shall have forgiveness." We have confessed our sins, and we
have forgiveness. Our sins are in the Sea of Forgetfulness. (Micah 7:18-19).
We can no more be accused of sin. We have confessed it. We made things right.
And now, the great chasm that was between us and God, has been taken away.
God put the sin in the Sea of Forgetfulness. He could never even remember
us anymore as sinners (Jer. 31:34b). We are no longer sinners. We are sons
and daughters, and now we're here for deliverance for the flesh. (Romans 7:24,
8:23). And because we are believers, the Word said, the Word, the Word that
Christ left us, said, "These signs shall follow them that believe: If
they lay their hands on the sick, they shall recover." (Mark 16:17-18).
And this that we're doing, by faith we are doing it, in the Name of Jesus
Christ. [10]
We're not to come together to talk about the Message. We are come together
to get in the Message. And the Message is Christ; He is the Word. That's right.
We're to get into It, get beneath It. Yes, sir. That's what we're supposed
to do.
The blood was applied at the evening time (Exodus 12:7). He was not responsible
for any persons out from under the blood, not one; no matter who he was, he
was not responsible. All had to take not only himself, but his whole family.
They're only safe when the token was displayed. (Exodus 12:1-37).
We cannot feel safe until this Token is displayed (Romans 5:8-10). That's
right. You must come under this Token, God's Holy Spirit. And It displays
to you Jesus Christ, because It comes and lives in you. [11]
Israel was commanded
to stay under that blood until marching orders come. "Don't go out from
under it!" When once under that token, they were sealed in there. "Don't
leave that!" They stayed right there until the midnight struck and the
trumpets blowed. And when the trumpets blowed, the old rams horns begin to
blow, each one marched out with his provision, going to the promised land.
So does a man or woman who is filled with the Holy Ghost, he is sealed away,
and secured from all harm and danger (Eph. 4:30). His whole life displays
what he is, wherever he walks, whatever business he does, whoever he talks
with. When he comes in contact with women, when he comes in contact with associates,
when he comes in contact with everything, that Token is laying there. Amen!
When it comes to death, "I'll fear no evil, for Thou art with me,"
that Token lays there. When it comes to the resurrection, he'll be there,
for God will raise him up at the last day. Jesus said so! "When I see
the Blood, the Token, I'll pass over you." (Exod. 12:1-13,29-39). Oh!
[12]
The Token is the Token. It's you and Christ as persons together. See? It's
the Holy Spirit, His Life in you working His own Life through you. And it's
for the rich, the poor, or for whosoever will receive It. [13]
I thought, "Oh,
my God, one day there'll come a blast from heaven, and the dead in Christ
shall rise first (I Thess. 4:13-18). Them Old Testament saints back yonder
who are waiting a blast forth and come out of there first and go into the
resurrection; we'll drop right in line and going to the skies, these old mortal
bodies changed and made like unto His own glorious body (I Cor. 15:51-54).
What a parade that'll be when it starts heavenward some of these days in that
rapturing time that lays ahead, oh, proudly displaying the Blood of Jesus
Christ upon their chests, the Message of God in the hour that they lived in.
That's the hour that we're looking forward to, brother. [14]
New Testament is new covenant, new life. Shows Jesus has met every requirement
for us that God required to make us back truly sons and daughters of God,
under the Blood where there is no more condemnation. Romans 8:1, "There
is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in (not those who are believing
it), those who are in Christ Jesus, that walk not after the flesh, but after
the Spirit. And My Word is Spirit and life!" (John 6:63). [12]
But God will
watch for the Blood tag, the Token. That's what'll take us in, because nothing
can come into glory without it's under the Blood. A Blood tag, that we have
accepted what God did for us, in Christ. See, there's nothing that we can
do for ourselves, we're a total failure. No way at all. When man sinned, he
crossed the chasm between him and God and left... There's no way back at all.
But God rich in mercy (Eph. 2:4) accepted a Substitute. And that Substitute
today for us is Jesus Christ. Only that alone will God recognize, the Blood
of His Son, when it comes to that time. (John 1:29). [15]
Now, from Adam until now, man has tried to make his own substitute. He's tried
his best to do something a little better than what God did it then. And that's
just natural in man. Man is always trying to better something, to make it
a different way. He wants to inject his own ideas into the plan of God. And
that's why we stand tonight separated, the Christian people of the world,
by barriers, by denominational barriers. It does this because that man has
injected his own idea into God's plan. From Adam until now, as I've said,
it's been that way.
Adam expressed man's thinking in the garden of Eden when he made hisself a
fig leaf apron to face God (Genesis 3:7). It's something that he did himself.
And from fig leaves he's tried education, powers, cities, idols, civilization,
denomination. But it ever remains the same. God only accepts His subjects
under the Blood. And that's all.
Education has
totally failed. More educated we get the farther we get from each other. Denomination
has totally failed. We draw lines and barriers, and each one trying to get
that denomination higher than the other, and it breaks fellowship. Civilization
has merely brought about confusion. Cities, towers, and whatever more, has
all failed. And God's plan still remains the same: under the Blood. This Blood
must be a displayed blood. Back in the time, rather, of Israel, when Israel
had to kill the lamb and to place the blood upon the lintel and on the doorpost,
God required that (Exod. 12:21-28). And that token must be there, no matter
what other position them men might've showed that they were circumcised Israelites.
They might've confessed that "We believe every word that Jehovah says."
But that didn't expel it. They had to display that token. The blood must be
shown. And that's the way it is tonight. I believe that every Christian has
to display the Blood of Jesus Christ that's cleansed them from the things
of the world, regardless.
Now, in that time, the token must be on the door. It must be there, regardless
of how religious the house was, how religious the people, how well they had
brought up their children, how fine they attended church, how well they'd
displayed all the things that God had said. It still, at that last hour where
it showed between death and life, the blood had to be displayed. And the blood
showed that an innocent substitute had been taken in the place of the worshipper.
And the chemistry of the blood, the red blood itself, was a sign on the door
that this house was safe under the blood. Now, that was a type. [6]
We read in I
Corinthians 12:13, that “by one Spirit we're all baptized into one Body”,
and that Body is a family, the family of God. And that's the house of God,
and the house of God is the Name of Jesus Christ. "The Name of the Lord
is a mighty tower; the righteous run into It and are safe" (Proverbs
18:10).
"I have chose to put My Name at the Door of the house of My worship (Deut.
16:1-8), for My family will be gathered in there under the Blood like it was
in Egypt; anything outside died. And in there there's no leavened bread (I
Cor. 5:7-8). There's no denominational mixture in It anywhere. "In My
house, My children, borned of My genes..." Amen. Glory to God! "My
genes are in them. I put My Word in them. I'll write them upon the tables
of their heart (Heb. 8:10). That's My family, the family of the Body of Jesus
Christ: the family.” [16]
That's when the church shall be completely delivered, when everything comes under the Blood. When your sins come under the Blood, when your smoking, when your gambling, when your cheating, when your stealing, when your lying, when everything is brought under the Blood, then there'll be a total deliverance (Isaiah 1:18; I John 1:6-9). If you've wronged somebody, make it right. You can't bring that under the Blood; it won't stay. You can't bring it. Something won't let you do it. When yourself is completely, totally brought under the Blood, there'll be a total deliverance. Then you'll have a freedom like you've never known before (John 8:31-36), when everything's brought under the Blood, brought in submissive to the Kingdom of God. Then there'll be a real deliverance. [17]
And that's the
way with a real Christian. Did you know a real Christian doesn't have even
any sin at all imputed to him? David said, "Blessed is the man who God
will not impute sin to" (Psalm 32:1-2). When you're washed in the Blood
of the Lamb (not by make-belief, but really the Blood of the Lamb), God does
not impute to you anything that's done, because you're under the Blood and
He doesn't see it (Jer. 31:34b). There's a Blood sacrifice; the only thing
He can see you in, is the way He saw you before the foundation of the world
when He put your name in the Lamb's Book of Life. (Rev. 13:8). That's all
He can look at, because you are redeemed from everything that was ever done;
you're washed in the Blood of the Lamb. There's no unclean habit in you; because
that the Blood of the Lamb has did this; and God cannot impute sin to you
(II Cor. 5:18-19) after you've got a sin-offering laying there waiting for
you (Rev. 5:6-7; I John 2:2).
"Well," you say, "that gives me plenty of room then, Brother
Branham; I can do what I want to." I always do, always. But when a man
can really see what Jesus done for him, and turn around and do something contrary
to Him, it shows he never received Christ. [18]
O God, what a horrible hour we're living in. Oh, come, Lord Jesus, come. Come,
Lord, cleanse us by the Blood. Take all filth and guile away from us. Let
us live, Lord. Let us live under the Blood constantly before You. It's our
heart's desire, and our sincere plea. [19]
